As the Social Media Manager for "Our Bodies Our Doctors" film I had the pleasure of creating social media content, activating communities, getting in touch with activists and influencers, and bringing the team to their Seed&Spark crowdfunding goal.

One very rewarding aspect to being part of the "Our Bodies Our Doctors" Team was getting to reach and impact influencers. We received quotes from activists such as- Cecile Richards, Former President of Planned Parenthood, Congresswoman Pramila Jayapal, and activist and author, Gloria Steinem.

A Successful seed&Spark campaign

"Our Bodies Our Doctors" Film ran a successful Seed&Spark campaign raising $25,000 for finishing the film. Another important aspect to this campaign was targeting and activating the community to bring awareness to future screenings.

OUR BODIES OUR DOCTORS is a feature-length film that tells the rarely-discussed story of what it means to be an abortion provider today:  confronting threats of violence, and facing intensified political threats and efforts to criminalize abortion.  Religious control over health care is expanding, including in many pro-choice states.   The abortion debate continues to be defined by gruesome images of the anti-abortion movement.  In contrast, this film provides a crucial, hopeful point of view: an intimate glimpse into the lives of these courageous providers who have devoted their careers to ensuring women have access to skilled, compassionate care.
